Case Study: Leclerc preserves institutional knowledge and reduces downtime with Poka

A Poka Case Study

Preview of the Leclerc Case Study

The Leclerc Group Prepares For A Retiring Workforce

Leclerc, a more-than-110-year-old leader in the food industry, was facing the loss of experienced workers to retirement across its factories, putting institutional knowledge, standardization of training content, and uptime at risk. To address unplanned downtime and inconsistent, paper-based procedures, Leclerc selected Poka’s digital knowledge-sharing platform to capture best practices, standardize training, and support organizational learning.

Poka was rolled out beginning in 2014 and is now used in six Leclerc plants in Canada and the United States, centralizing procedures, enabling videos/photos/comments for frontline communication, and fostering cross-department collaboration. The implementation delivered measurable impact — significant improvements in training processes, increased productivity and health & safety, reduced unplanned downtime, and faster problem resolution (problems that “used to take hours to solve are now resolved in a few minutes”) thanks to Poka.
