How Bosch Automotive Improved Production Issues Management

Bosch Automotive, a major automotive technology and service provider, faced challenges with inefficient communication on its production floor at its Charleston plant. The use of two-way radios limited information sharing and issue resolution. To address this, Bosch partnered with vendor Poka to pilot its connected worker platform.

The Poka solution provided a central hub for communication, enabling the tracking and sharing of information with rich media to multiple people at once. This improved issue management and empowered frontline workers. The plant subsequently expanded Poka's use for skills development and rapid new product startup. As a result, Bosch achieved its fastest product startup in over 50 years of operation, significantly improving production ramp-up times. Poka's platform also created greater visibility and flexibility for management.
