A Poka Case Study
Duvaltex, owner of Victor Textiles, True Textiles and Guilford of Maine, faced a significant knowledge‑loss and skills gap as a wave of retirements threatened decades of in‑plant expertise. To centralize communications and preserve know‑how, Duvaltex turned to Poka in 2015 to support training, expertise transfer and cross‑department collaboration across its North American operations.
Poka was rolled out in three Canadian mills and given to more than 150 employees for daily use; in under two years teams produced over 250 Poka videos. The platform centralized real‑time communications (including a Factory Feed), standardized content, improved production planning and training, boosted interdepartmental exchanges and developed employee versatility—creating a measurable culture shift toward shared best practices across Duvaltex.
