A Poka Case Study
Danone, a global food and beverage company, was looking to improve knowledge sharing, communication, and sustainability on the factory floor. At its Bierun dairy plant in Poland, the team wanted to move away from paper-based processes as part of Danone’s “One Planet. One Earth” program, while also making daily routines and defect reporting easier and more effective. Poka’s digital forms were used to support this paperless journey.
With Poka, Danone digitized nearly 300 processes across 11 factories and achieved strong adoption at Bierun, including 100% weekly user connection since January 2021 and a satisfaction score increase from 3.7 to 4.1. The plant expects to save about 40,000 sheets of paper per year, and Danone reported 141 hours saved annually, doubled defect handling system engagement from 10% to 21%, and improved visibility through digital signatures, instant notifications, and better form data analysis.
