Veidekke, a Norwegian construction and civil engineering company, faced the challenge of needing up-to-date information for a major motorway project while adhering to Norway's first mandated use of high-level BIM models. To improve planning and avoid mistakes, they required a fast way to share high-resolution aerial data from drones and laser scanners with all stakeholders, which led them to the vendor Pointscene.

Pointscene provided its service to share high-resolution drone orthophotos and point clouds, combining up-to-date reality capture with the BIM world. This solution enabled Veidekke to plan their work better and avoid mistakes. As a result, the project was completed eight months ahead of schedule and 15-20% under budget, while also achieving a record-high sustainability score and a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
