Take Care Health Systems wanted to extend its web-based patient portal into a mobile experience that worked in real time with existing systems, while still delivering a rich, intuitive user experience. The challenge was more than shrinking an app for a smartphone; it needed to support patient engagement, scheduling, prescriptions, and communications across clinic locations. PointClear Solutions was brought in to design and build the mobile patient portal and scheduling app.

PointClear Solutions researched the existing portal, visited health centers and employer clients, and then developed a mobile app with eligibility verification, real-time EMR appointment scheduling, Walgreens prescription fulfillment integration, and secure messaging. PointClear Solutions also implemented similar functionality in the web portal. The new mobile interface launched successfully for 64 clinic sites and about 1,000,000 potential users, helping drive demand for clinic services and supporting plans for nationwide expansion.
