Innovative Design and Development Make the First 3D Digital Ear Scanning Solution a Reality

Natus Medical Denmark needed a way to launch Otoscan, its first 3D digital ear scanning solution, but faced UX, training and fulfillment challenges: the UI had to guide users to scan safely in a small ear canal, onboarding needed to reduce adoption barriers, and the platform had to support ordering, billing and delivery. Natus engaged PointClear Solutions to design and build the end-to-end system and user experience.

PointClear Solutions delivered a full software strategy, UX research, Scanware UI, a cloud-based ordering portal and supporting desktop, image-processing and server-side components, plus self-guided training and internationalized UX. The resulting Otoscan platform streamlines ear scanning and fulfillment, improves patient comfort and fit, integrates with pricing and billing for greater efficiency, and reduced barriers to adoption—helping clinicians expand referrals and accelerate use of the new technology.
