Skid-O-Kan, a portable restroom service in south Texas with about 2,000 units on rent and twenty daily routes (some with up to 300 stops), had outgrown its manual route-mapping process and paper map books for locations without addresses. To improve dispatching, routing and the recording/reporting needed for billing, Skid-O-Kan turned to Point of Rental Software and its integrated GPS and mapping solution.
Point of Rental Software implemented its Point-of-Rental system with GPS and mobile mapping so non-address locations are marked by GPS, turn-by-turn directions are uploaded to pumpers’ phones or in-cab units, and service frequencies are routed by truck, route or stop with live truck-location updates. Pumpers stamp each serviced unit with date/time and GPS coordinates for accurate monthly or 28-day billing; as a result, Skid-O-Kan reports optimized routes, greater efficiency, reduced miles driven and more accurate, auditable billing.
