A Point B Case Study
A large, multi-specialty clinic in the Pacific Northwest faced market pressures threatening physician-owned practices, including health plans pushing risk onto providers and hospital consolidation. To ensure high-quality care and long-term viability, the clinic decided to develop a clinically integrated network (CIN) and engaged Point B for program management support.
Point B worked with the clinic to develop a comprehensive business plan and engaged two capital investment partners to fund the venture. They created a compelling case to attract other provider groups, raised the necessary capital, and established the governance framework for the CIN. As a result, Point B helped secure letters of intent from five clinics and positioned the network to launch new care management capabilities that improve quality and reduce the total cost of care.
