A Point B Case Study
A non-profit national center for research and technological innovation sought to accelerate innovation in education but needed to determine which problems to prioritize for the biggest impact. Point B was engaged to help the organization define its focus and develop a method for rewarding innovative solutions.
Point B facilitated a strategic prioritization process and then led the initiative to address the top challenge: helping teachers find suitable technology. They validated the problem, designed an innovation prize to overcome market barriers, and ran a social networking campaign. This resulted in the creation of new web apps and provided the organization with a ready-to-implement program. The process also influenced major foundations by helping them understand key problems and how to allocate grants for greater impact.
