Tony’s Chocolonely is a well-known Dutch chocolate brand. With the mission ‘Crazy about chocolate, serious about people’, Tony’s aims to achieve a 100% slave-free chocolate industry. To demonstrate what they have achieved with respect to their objectives and claims, Tony’s needs timely and accurate field data. Mobile data collection is key for measuring improvements on the farms and in the communities and for analyzing development and sustainability indicators. For their certified farmer cooperatives in Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire, Tony’s has initiated a project where Poimapper is implemented for field data collection. Using Poimapper in combination with AuditAide software, Tony’s cooperatives are able to quickly analyse field data and assess the performance of their certified farmers, identify bottlenecks on the ground and take action in order to achieve a truly sustainable and slave-free cocoa chain for Tony’s chocolate bars.
