Case Study: Impulse achieves high-availability voice and data services with Pogo Linux’s NexentaStor Z2 HA Cluster SAN

A Pogo Linux Case Study

Preview of the Impulse Case Study

Impulse Advanced Communications eliminates a single-point of failure to voice and data services at the renewal price of its legacy HA cluster SAN solution

Impulse Advanced Communications, a B2B communications provider, needed to eliminate a single point of failure for its critical voice and data services. Their previous solutions from NetApp and EMC were expensive to scale and could not provide sufficient performance or cost-effective high-availability. Pogo Linux provided a solution using the StorageDirector Z2 HA Cluster SAN powered by NexentaStor.

Pogo Linux implemented a pre-tested, dual-node high-availability storage cluster for Impulse. The solution provided superior features, eliminated downtime, and delivered significant cost savings; the total license and support cost for the new NexentaStor solution was less than the support renewal cost for their previous EMC appliance alone. This allowed Impulse to ensure 24x7 service delivery for its customers.
