Carvers Building Supplies, a building materials supplier based in Wolverhampton, faced challenges with inefficient, paper-based delivery planning for its fleet of over 30 vehicles. To modernize its systems and improve operational efficiency, the company partnered with vendor Podfather to implement its route planning and electronic proof of delivery (ePOD) solution.

Podfather provided a cloud-based system and a driver app to streamline Carvers' processes. The solution enabled route optimization, vehicle defect checks, customer ETA notifications, driver tracking, and electronic proof of delivery. While specific measurable results were not yet achieved at the time of writing, Carvers anticipated benefits including the eradication of paper, reduced planning admin, improved operational visibility, and a better customer experience. Podfather's system was also being integrated with the company's new ERP software to add further value to its transport operations.
