Case Study: VERO achieves increased shopper sales through segmented promotions with Pobuca

A Pobuca Case Study

Preview of the Vero Case Study

How Pobuca is helping VERO to increase shopper sales thanks to the higher use of segmented promotions

Vero, a leading supermarket chain in the Balkans operating in FYROM and Serbia, faced the challenge of creating a new communication and promotional channel to maximize the use of segmented discount coupons, increase shopper sales, and involve brand manufacturers to help fund and populate the channel. They engaged Pobuca to set up a digital 1:1 marketing plan, build a single customer profile from multiple channels, and deploy loyalty-driven promotions.

Pobuca implemented an omnichannel loyalty solution including the Pobuca Loyalty Platform with ERP connectivity, a mobile app, microsite, loyalty campaigns and marketing automation, and consulting to define segmentation criteria and manufacturer participation. The program now gathers more than 150 promotions monthly, secures manufacturer discounts typically between 10–20% (up to 50%), uses bonus points that can deliver discounts within the first two visits, and gives Vero the ability to analyze customer data, run targeted campaigns, and generate additional manufacturer-funded income, driving higher use of segmented promotions and increased shopper sales.
