Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) needed to modernize capital project management across a growing portfolio that was still relying on manual workflows, fragmented data, and inconsistent reporting. In 2016, CMU selected PMWeb Inc. and its PMWEB project management information system to centralize project and financial data, automate contract and invoice processes, and integrate with Oracle EBS.

PMWeb Inc. implemented a full-suite PMWEB rollout covering budgeting, contracts, invoicing, timesheets, and integrations, along with custom dashboards, vendor scoring, and interface improvements to boost adoption. The result was a more transparent and scalable capital program platform: CMU now manages 100+ active projects in PMWEB, has real-time Oracle EBS integration, faster reporting and upgrades, and higher user engagement and data quality.
