Catholic Medical Center (CMC) in Manchester, NH (330 beds) faced rising pressure for price transparency as more patients take on higher deductibles. Needing validated, market-aligned charges that reflected patient- and service-level variability, CMC sought a solution that would keep them revenue neutral and within 95% of market pricing. They engaged PMMC for chargemaster/pricing support.
PMMC modeled CPTs from prior-year data, mapped volumes, and produced pricing scenarios and pricing maps that let CMC adjust individual CPTs using a justifiable markup formula and integrate changes into their new revenue cycle system. As a result, PMMC helped CMC remain net revenue neutral and retain their 95% market position, establish a formal pricing-change process (4–6 week department review and sign-off), and publish price transparency information on their website.
