Baptist Health Creates Patient Estimates Through An Integrated Revenue Cycle Contract Management Process

Baptist Health faced increasing demand for price transparency and needed a point‑of‑service estimation solution to communicate patient out‑of‑pocket costs, reduce denials and underpayments, and offer financial assistance to self‑pay patients. To address this, Baptist Health selected PMMC and implemented its Contract PRO and Estimator PRO tools to generate accurate, contract‑based patient estimates and improve front‑end financial conversations.

PMMC integrated its Contract PRO and Estimator PRO with Baptist’s Clearwave kiosk workflow, managed implementation and training, and validated calculation accuracy with the revenue cycle team. As a result, Baptist Health recovered approximately $1.2 million in contractual underpayments within three months, hit a record monthly POS collections month one after go‑live, achieved about 95% kiosk adoption, and empowered staff and payers with clearer reimbursement explanations.
