PMG Enables U.S. Home Improvement Retailer to Securely Orchestrate Critical IT Processes

Large U.S. Home Improvement Retailer — a 400,000+ employee organization — needed a scalable, secure way to orchestrate Windows and Linux server patching after its previous orchestrator proved unreliable and required specialized technical users. The retailer’s Process Automation team couldn’t access all deployment platforms or keep up with an evolving variety of patch methods, so they turned to PMG and its low‑ and no‑code automation platform to deliver a more flexible, user-friendly orchestration solution.

PMG built a low‑code, drag‑and‑drop orchestration portal that connected to third‑party patching platforms, combined remote and REST actions via Relay, integrated with ServiceNow, and enabled self‑service workflows and real‑time device data. The solution eliminated backlog, expanded the Process Automation team from a single contractor to six internal members, and drove measurable results — achieving greater than 95% patching compliance across data centers and enabling rollout to 20,000+ additional multi‑site and database servers.
