A pMD Case Study
Minnesota Oncology, a 70+ provider group with 12 clinics across the Twin Cities, faced fragmented communication and slow, error-prone charge capture as providers moved between hospitals and disparate EMRs. To address these challenges they partnered with pMD, adopting pMD’s charge capture, secure messaging, and care coordination tools to replace paper rounding and multiple messaging apps.
pMD deployed its secure messaging and charge-capture platform (with an interface to Minnesota Oncology’s practice management system) in a four-month phased rollout, streamlining billing, after-hours advice, and discharge reporting. As a result, pMD helped reduce average inpatient/surgical charge turnaround from about 25 days to 5 days, cut rejected visits from over half to just 1–2 per month, lowered administrative burden, and improved revenue and care coordination.
