Wyevale Garden Centres needed to turn around underperforming restaurants across its estate and create three new food and beverage concepts that could be rolled out easily and consistently. PMC, working with Kiwi & Pom, supported the redesign of the customer’s restaurant and café offer, including the concept and layout development for the new Food & Beverage experience.

PMC helped deliver three distinct but complementary concepts — Garden Kitchen Restaurant, Coffee Ground, and Botanic Kitchen — backed by a new brand identity, improved counter layouts, and refreshed environments. The results were strong: Botanic Kitchen sales rose 29% year on year, refurbished Garden Kitchen Restaurants saw transactions increase by 26%, and Coffee Ground outperformed comparable high street cafés by 33% while costing half as much and taking half the time to build. The new concept also generated a 20% garden centre halo effect, with mystery shopper scores of 91% to 96% and improved staff morale.
