Fungible validates DASH on DPU with PLVision, processing millions of packets per second

Silicon Valley-based Fungible, a premier dynamic composable infrastructure company, faced significant challenges in developing a DASH-based prototype for its Fungible DPU™. As an emerging technology, SONiC-DASH had a high level of uncertainty, a lack of defined standards, and a shortage of relevant market expertise. To demonstrate its solution's performance and economic benefits, Fungible needed a reliable software partner and enlisted PLVision for its open networking experience.

PLVision designed and developed the DASH control plane software as a proof-of-concept to enable the VNet-to-VNet feature on the Fungible DPU. The implementation included a DASH SAI library on top of the DPU SDK and utilized the SAI Thrift interface for validation. The successful PoC confirmed the solution's feasibility, provided excellent demonstration capabilities for Fungible's platform, and unlocked new opportunities for DPU applications in the hyperscale data center market.
