Case Study: TIBCO Software achieves ultra-low-latency, fault-tolerant messaging with Pluribus Networks

A Better Appliance, A Better Platform for TIBCO

TIBCO Software, a long-standing provider of mission-critical messaging (EMS and FTL) for real-time enterprise operations, faced a common infrastructure challenge: these high-performance middleware platforms depend on complex server, storage and networking stacks (SANs, clusters, DR replication) that add time, cost, risk and operational overhead and make performance tuning and monitoring difficult.

Pluribus Networks solved this by delivering a compact, integrated 2RU appliance running Pluribus Netvisor and its Virtualization-Centric Fabric with TIBCO software preinstalled. The appliance fuses network, compute and storage to provide ultra-low latency and high throughput (1.2 Tbps L2/3, <315 ns intra-host, 10Gbps line-rate persistent messaging), built-in HA and DR (synchronous replication, multi-chassis clustering, Fusion-IO storage, deduplication) and SDN programmability—enabling deployments in hours while reducing rack space, power, complexity and overall cost, and delivering higher throughput and lower latency without a SAN.
