A Pluralsight Case Study
Oklahoma State University’s multimedia program, led by instructor Chris Hopkins, needed to launch a new 3D track while addressing two core challenges: instructors required ongoing training to keep up with rapidly changing software, and students progressed at different speeds, making it hard to support struggling learners while challenging advanced ones.
By adopting Digital-Tutors (now Pluralsight) group accounts Hopkins built custom curricula and playlists, assigned targeted video lessons, and used the group portal to track progress and communicate with students. This reduced lecture prep, enabled individualized learning paths, increased the amount of material students covered (about double the original syllabus), fostered productive peer competition, and helped students secure industry opportunities such as an internship on Hasbro’s G.I. JOE 3D webisodes.
