Empowering local leaders in Tennessee with new skills

Tennessee’s Strategic Technology Solutions (STS), part of the Department of Finance & Administration, partnered with Pluralsight to tackle a persistent challenge: rural counties and small cities struggle to hire and retain IT staff and keep them current on cybersecurity and emerging technologies, leaving local services and state-coordinated programs at risk.

Using ARPA funds, STS bought free Pluralsight licenses for local IT teams, giving on-demand access to 12,000+ video lessons, hands-on labs, assessments and curated learning paths. More than 400 government IT leaders in 22 counties have enrolled, strengthening cybersecurity, improving service resilience and helping retain skilled employees.
