Prudential, a 150-year-old global leader in insurance, investments and retirement serving millions of customers, wanted to position itself as a tech-forward employer and a cloud destination. Facing rapid technological change, leadership decided to shift from hiring to nurturing existing talent, increase cloud credibility, and embed a sustainable culture of continuous learning across the organization.

To do that Prudential launched Pluralsight Skills and A Cloud Guru in September 2022 as part of its Integrated Technology and Data Strategy, creating 11 role-based learning paths, interactive labs and Skill IQ assessments. The initiative drove a 200% increase in skill-ups with an average skill gain of 53%, sustained over 70% employee engagement, and a 30% rise in AWS certifications, while consistent executive communication and hands-on enablement cemented learning adoption.
