Showpad, a B2B SaaS "Platform for Modern Selling" with about 450 employees and 100+ engineers, faced limited cloud expertise when its VP of Technology joined in 2020 — only five AWS certifications companywide. The company needed to adopt more AWS services quickly, take advantage of its AWS Enterprise Discount Program via the AWS Marketplace, and build an organic, engineer-led culture of cloud learning.

Showpad piloted A Cloud Guru (ACG) via the AWS Marketplace and scaled it across teams. Within a year engineers earned over 50 AWS certifications (10×+ growth), moved critical components to managed AWS services (adding ML, transcription, etc.), and made ACG part of daily engineering practice—doubling seats as demand grew—while using Marketplace procurement to apply committed spend and deepen EDP discounts.
