ManTech, a national‑security technology firm, needed to keep its workforce current on cloud and cybersecurity skills to attract and retain talent and meet client demands. Facing rapid change in cloud platforms and a strategic push to deepen in‑house expertise, the company set out to motivate employees to earn cloud certifications at scale.

Partnering with A Cloud Guru, ManTech ran sprint-based certification challenges with executive sponsorship, incentives, reminders, and recognition. What began as a 60‑in‑60 goal expanded to 100 and ultimately delivered 312 certifications in 100 days, $260,000 in bonuses, internal promotions (including a move into a Cloud Architect role), stronger partner positioning, and an embedded culture of hands‑on learning and knowledge sharing.
