Khatabook, India’s leading business management app for MSMEs, needed a better way to communicate new features to small business owners in a clear and timely manner. The company had been using another in-app messaging tool for more than a year, but it struggled with delayed message delivery and poor reach, which made feature adoption difficult, especially for revenue-driving products like Bulk Reminders.

Using Plotline, Khatabook launched in-app campaigns such as spotlights, floaters, and bottom sheets to promote monetization and engagement features without needing app releases. With Plotline’s spotlight campaign for Bulk Reminders, Khatabook saw a 120% increase in users trying the action among those exposed to the message; other campaigns also performed strongly, including a sales floater campaign with nearly 20% CTR and a festive bottom sheet campaign that generated 36k unique impressions and about 22% CTR.
