The customer, North Watford Cemetery, part of Watford Bereavement Services, was undergoing a major modernization program to transform its operations for the 21st century. Their challenge involved modernizing workflows and managing inaccurate historical burial records. They selected PlotBox, a cloud-based cemetery management solution, as a key part of their council's Digital Enablement Program.

PlotBox implemented its cloud computing solution, which included a data matching service where a team audited the cemetery's inventory on-site using an iPad app to verify and flag discrepancies. This process saved an enormous amount of time in data migration. The results provided the team with information at their fingertips, allowing them to answer freedom of information requests and view graves from the office instead of traveling. The solution also helped the council meet criteria towards a Gold Standard from the ICCM.
