West Sussex County Council secures approval for Broadbridge Heath regeneration with PLMR and 154 new jobs
West Sussex County Council appointed PLMR to undertake stakeholder and community consultation to support a major retail-led regeneration project on a brownfield site in Broadbridge Heath. The council's challenge was to gain planning consent for this significant scheme, which aimed to revitalize an under-utilized area and deliver new economic benefits.
PLMR implemented a comprehensive consultation program, engaging key political and community stakeholders and launching a dedicated website to showcase the proposals. Their efforts directly supported the council in achieving conditional planning approval in September 2024, followed by final approval in February 2025, paving the way for the creation of an estimated 154 new jobs and substantial local economic investment.
