Case Study: Lidl engages the Grove and Wantage community with PLMR's targeted digital marketing

A PLMR - Communications with Impact Case Study

Lidl reaches 28,992 people with PLMR’s £300 campaign for Grove and Wantage

The grocery store chain Lidl sought to secure planning permission for a new store in Grove and Wantage, an area with limited and expensive retail options. To build local support for the development, Lidl engaged PLMR to execute a targeted digital marketing campaign.

PLMR implemented a locally-focused Facebook advertising campaign with a modest budget of £300. The ads promoted the benefits of the new store, such as job creation and greater consumer choice, to residents over 30. The campaign reached nearly 29,000 people, drove 1,589 clicks to the planning website, and generated significant positive feedback. This culminated in an online poll where 73% of respondents voted in favor of the new Lidl store.
