British Solar Renewables, a leading UK renewable energy developer, required strategic planning communications, community engagement, and political support to secure consent for its utility-scale solar and storage projects while upholding its biodiversity commitments. PLMR's Planning & Built Environment team was engaged to provide this support.
PLMR delivered comprehensive consultation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic advice throughout the planning process. For projects like the Pudds Cross Solar Park, this led to design changes to reduce visual impact and positioned developments positively. As a result, PLMR helped British Solar Renewables secure permission for 88.79MW of renewable energy, including the Pudds Cross scheme which will power thousands of homes, deliver significant biodiversity net gain, and provide a substantial community benefit fund.
