Case Study: Data Vortex Technologies revolutionizes high-performance computing with Plexus Corp.

A Plexus Corp. Case Study

Preview of the Data Vortex Technologies Case Study

Data Vortex Technologies achieves 32–100x HPC performance improvement with Plexus Corp.

Data Vortex Technologies, a company founded by mathematician Dr. Coke Reed, had a revolutionary concept for a high-performance computing network but lacked the engineering expertise to prove the concept and build a physical machine. They partnered with Plexus to help translate the mathematical solution into a working engineering prototype and bring their new supercomputer to market.

Plexus collaborated closely with Data Vortex, first simulating the concept and then designing and building beta test systems. The resulting Data Vortex system is a self-routing, congestion-free network that allows for massively faster processor-to-processor communication. Plexus's solution delivered a system that, for certain problems, provides a 32–100 times performance improvement over comparable traditional systems. Several systems are now in use at government and academic sites, and Plexus continues to partner with Data Vortex on manufacturing and next-generation product development.
