Swoboda Increases Efficiency and Output with Plex

Swoboda US Inc., the Grand Rapids facility of a family-owned global supplier to the automotive industry, manufactures high-precision metal‑plastic components and molded electronic circuitry. The plant had grown with 30–40 disparate technology systems that couldn’t communicate, creating excessive administrative overhead, conflicting datasets, poor reporting and cumbersome work instructions—prompting a search for a single ERP solution.

Swoboda implemented the Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform and reorganized into customer-focused business units, automating processes and consolidating systems so existing staff could take on broader responsibilities. As a result, sales tripled without adding headcount; scrap dropped by more than 50%; productivity (sales per labor hour) more than doubled; inventory cycle-count adjustments fell by 90%; and work instructions were reduced about 75%, providing one consistent “version of the truth.”
