Newman Technology Cuts Inventory Costs by 25 Percent; Achieves 98 Percent Inventory Accuracy

Newman Technology, a Mansfield, Ohio–based automotive parts supplier with 700+ employees across four facilities, produces exhaust parts, door molding and sash components for global customers. The company struggled with paper-based tracking, spreadsheets and inconsistent container labeling, which caused inventory inaccuracies, slow purchase orders and payments, poor supplier communication and limited forecasting agility.

Working with Revolution Group, Newman implemented the Plex Manufacturing Cloud over 18 months to automate inventory, purchasing, supplier portals, electronic kanban/EDI and labeling, replacing paper and aligning suppliers and the shop floor in real time. The change halved purchase order time, boosted inventory turns from 12 to 20 per month, achieved 98% inventory accuracy, cut on-hand inventory costs by 25%, improved supplier accountability and enabled pay-on-receipt processing—delivering a faster, more nimble, ISO-compliant supply chain.
