How Planday found a “life-changing” setup for the whole organisation in Pleo

Planday, a B2B software company of 125 employees in Copenhagen, had a traditional expense setup where company cards were reserved for management and other staff were reimbursed. This led to card sharing with unclear spend ownership, no real-time visibility into expenses (only month-end invoices), and time-consuming chasing and matching of receipts. To solve this, Planday turned to Pleo to modernize company card management and employee expense handling.

Pleo implemented virtual and plastic cards for employees, quick onboarding, receipt matching, configurable spending limits, a real-time dashboard, and Projects/Customers features. As a result, Planday now issues cards to everyone who needs them, sees transactions in real time, and can track spend precisely by project or event—reducing receipt chasing and simplifying finance workflows. Pleo’s solution has been rolled out since 2016 and expanded across Planday’s offices, a change the company calls “life-changing.”
