How Pizza Pilgrims made expenses easier with Pleo

Pizza Pilgrims, a rapidly growing London and Oxford pizzeria chain, struggled with mounting receipts and time-consuming month-end card reconciliation as their headcount expanded. The team discovered vendor Pleo (via the Xero Partner page) and selected Pleo cards and its Xero integration to solve their expense headaches, after pilots with a few employees proved promising.

Pleo was rolled out company-wide to automate receipt capture, prompt employees to add and categorise receipts at the point of sale, and sync transactions directly with Xero. As a result, Pizza Pilgrims eliminated manual journal creation, chasing receipts and downloading statements—nobody at the company has to do expense reports anymore—and the finance team regained significant time through Pleo’s real-time tracking and automated reconciliation.
