6point6, a London-based technology consultancy with around 120 employees and travelling consultants, struggled with slow, paper-based expense reporting: purchases on traditional spend cards required retroactive manager approvals and receipts were stored and submitted manually, leaving finance processes running six weeks to two months behind. To modernise this, 6point6 chose Pleo and its smart company card and expense-management platform.
Pleo was rolled out company-wide (virtual and plastic cards issued), with quick onboarding, receipt-matching, spending controls and accounting integrations. The result was a fully digital, widely adopted process that moved expense reviews to real time, empowered consultants to snap and tag receipts on the spot, and sharply reduced the previous 6–8 week processing lag—delivering significant time savings for both employees and finance.
