Discovery Communications partnered with Pledgeling for its first omnichannel cause-marketing effort, Project C.A.T. (Conserving Acres for Tigers), to support WWF’s goal of doubling the wild tiger population by 2022. Facing the challenge of engaging global audiences and enabling seamless giving, Discovery used Pledgeling’s Text-to-Donate, donation widget and mobile messaging capabilities to add donation functionality across channels.
Pledgeling implemented a text-to-donate program (Text TIGER to 707070), a donation widget and targeted mobile messaging to drive donations and capture engagement. The campaign strengthened connections between consumers and nonprofit partners and delivered measurable impact for Discovery Communications in the form of new audience data and insights from mobile engagement, helping facilitate donations across its global brands.
