The American Red Cross, Los Angeles Region partnered with Pledgeling to modernize fundraising at its Centennial Humanitarian Ball, introducing a “Donate with Apple Pay” capability to support a $100,000 fundraising goal. Facing the need for a mobile-first donation experience, the campaign used Apple Pay alongside a fundraising page and text-to-donate tools to engage guests in real time.

Pledgeling implemented Apple Pay for donations across the event’s fundraising page and text-to-donate flow, making it easy for attendees to give on their phones during an on-stage appeal. The results were strong: 86% of donations originated on mobile devices, and 31% of those mobile gifts were made via Apple Pay—demonstrating Pledgeling’s impact in increasing mobile conversions and supporter engagement for the American Red Cross.
