The gaming studio Fortis faced the challenge of reaching a niche audience of adult players of games typically designed for a younger audience for their survey-based competitor research. The traditional two-step recruitment method, involving a separate screener and a follow-up survey, was inefficient and led to high participant drop-off, wasting resources and slowing down their early-stage audience exploration. To solve this, they partnered with PlaytestCloud.

PlaytestCloud implemented a new, seamless survey flow that combined the screener and survey into a single experience with embedded disqualification logic. This solution reduced participant friction and eliminated the drop-off between recruitment steps. The results were highly successful, as PlaytestCloud helped Fortis successfully reach 66% of their intended hard-to-find players.
