Hershesons, a 5,000‑square‑foot London salon known for innovation, needed a way to deliver consistent, high‑quality music across five distinct service areas with different volume needs, while overcoming hairdryer noise that sits around 400–600 Hz and can mask music. PlayNetwork was engaged to design and install the audio solution, recommending JBL pendant speakers placed in five independently controlled zones, leveraging Harman DSP to boost problematic frequencies, and providing custom music supervision.

PlayNetwork implemented the zoned JBL speaker layout, tuned the system with Harman DSP so music cuts through hairdryers without raising overall volume, and curated three distinct music channels that shift with the salon’s mood. The result is clear, comfortably audible music throughout each zone, better control of volume per area, and a more cohesive, customer‑focused experience that aligns with Hershesons’ brand.
