Chromatic delivers unique website fleet approach for HR firm Segal Benz

Segal Benz, an HR consulting firm, worked with agency partner Chromatic to support a growing fleet of client websites while keeping each client’s proprietary HR data securely separated. As the number of Drupal projects increased, the team needed to accelerate multisite development, reduce build and maintenance costs, and avoid duplicating DevOps work. Platform.sh implemented a single, unified code base hosted on Upsun as a fleet of independent projects, giving Segal Benz secure client isolation with more scalable site management. The move helped Chromatic cut build and maintenance time and costs by 20%, migrate 22 Drupal projects, and speed up development, testing, and deployment—even during open-enrollment peaks. It also improved security, reduced maintenance needs, and created a more efficient workflow for both Chromatic and Segal Benz.
