DecorBase, an online interior design marketplace founded by Pete McCarthy and Alaina Kaczmarski, needed a sleek, modern platform to aggregate home goods, enable inspiration-board personalization, and connect users with hirable interior decorators. They engaged Plasma to design, develop, and launch a custom web application that would unify shopping, design canvases, and designer profiles in a user-friendly way.

Plasma implemented a customized web app that ingests third‑party product feeds via API or flat-file scraping, enabling searchable shopping across 10,000+ items from 30+ retailers (including IKEA, Z Gallerie and Ashley Furniture), plus drag-and-drop, resizing and upload features for inspiration boards and designer profiles. Shortly after launch the site was acquired by a competitor for an undisclosed amount, demonstrating Plasma’s successful execution and clear business impact.
