Horizon Power, a large energy and utilities provider serving 2.3 million km² of Western Australia with 500+ employees, needed standardized project lifecycles and a single source of truth across a fragmented portfolio. The executive-approved project became urgent when COVID-19 forced the entire organization to pivot to remote work overnight, requiring a fast, remote implementation to consolidate tools and regain control of project data.

Horizon Power deployed Planview Portfolios via a fast-tracked 12-week virtual rollout to replace a patchwork of tools, establish an enterprise-wide PPM system, and enable real-time BI reporting. The consolidation decommissioned three legacy tools, delivered clearer visibility and earned-value metrics (CPI/SPI), and now supports 200+ projects across six divisions with roughly AUD $100M in capital—improving efficiency, reporting accuracy, and the ability to meet rapid government reporting deadlines.
