This multinational Fortune 50 healthcare corporation—serving more than 24 million members with Medicaid/Medicare, Marketplace, and prescription drug plans and employing about 69,000 people across the US, UK, Spain, and Slovakia—needed a way to tap the knowledge of a large, dispersed workforce. With no crowdsourcing process in place, the company sought an engaging, easy-to-use platform to increase employee engagement, bring transparency to innovation, and surface ideas to solve real business challenges.

The organization implemented Planview Spigit™ for enterprise and local idea challenges, using a playbook-driven process of voting, SME review, pre-studies and MVPs to move winners to implementation. The program has engaged nearly 60,000 employees who submitted 5,600 ideas, producing more than 15 active implementations; a rapid COVID challenge drew ~10,000 participants and 1,000 ideas, yielding two ideas fast-tracked into deployment.
