H-Hotels AG is a family-run German hotel group in the top 10 nationally, with over 3,000 employees and more than 9,600 rooms across brands like H4, H2 and H+. Managing hotel operations and seasonal pricing requires many simultaneous projects—refurbishments, marketing and operational improvements—yet departments used disparate tools. To react faster to market changes and centralize oversight, H-Hotels created a Head of Project Coordination to standardize cross-departmental project management.
They chose the cloud-based Projectplace platform for its easy rollout and mix of kanban boards, Gantt charts, document management and resource planning. After a successful pilot with marketing projects, the tool was rolled out to about 60 administrative users and is now used on large modernization projects. The result: greater transparency, more targeted communication, improved efficiency and emerging synergy effects from centralized project tracking and simpler collaboration with external contractors.
