Boston Scientific - Customer Case Study

Boston Scientific’s Bay Area operations, which design and manufacture cardiac and medical imaging devices, struggled with disconnected project lists and inefficient resource deployment after years of managing work with siloed Microsoft and homegrown tools. The lack of standardized project management and reporting left the teams without cross-portfolio visibility needed to meet launch deadlines and quality goals.

To fix this, the newly formed Bay Area PMO ran a Clarizen cloud pilot and rolled out a two‑phase implementation that standardized governance, templates and integrations. The result: real-time portfolio visibility, embedded dashboards and automated reports (including an Excel add‑in) that eliminated manual processes, saved more than $90,000 annually by reclaiming one FTE, reduced implementation time and improved resource optimization across projects.
