Case Study: Gasunie Transport Services achieves consolidation of 90 FM systems into one and boosts efficiency with Planon

A Planon Case Study

Preview of the Gasunie Transport Services Case Study

Planon takes Gasunie from 90 different FM systems to just one

Gasunie Transport Services, a state-owned natural gas transporter operating a 9,300-mile cross-border network in the Netherlands and Germany, faced fragmented facilities management—relying on pen-and-paper processes, card-index visitor logs and more than 90 different FM systems. This decentralization made work orders, visitor access and service tracking slow, error-prone and hard to audit.

Gasunie implemented Planon’s integrated workplace management system (IWMS) — deploying work order, service desk, move, project and maintenance modules in a phased rollout (first phase completed in six months). The single-platform solution now serves 1,500 internal users, 1,200 external self-service users and 100+ support staff, provides one-time visitor registration for 100,000+ annual visitors, eliminated 89 separate systems and improved efficiency so the company can do more with fewer people.
