A Planon Case Study
Diakonie Nord Nord Ost (DNNO) is a German nonprofit founded in 1906 that operates more than 100 social institutions, employs about 4,500 people, and manages a complex portfolio of roughly 280 owned and leased buildings across 100+ locations. With an SAP cloud-first strategy already in place, DNNO needed to centralize and streamline facility and asset management to reduce bottlenecks, improve compliance, and make building processes intuitive for caretakers and facilities staff.
DNNO implemented Planon Real Estate Management for SAP S/4HANA, an SAP‑endorsed solution that integrates building, lease and energy data directly with its SAP cloud ERP. The platform centralizes building information, automates workflows, simplifies compliance and sustainability reporting, and embeds best-practice processes—delivering measurable efficiency gains today and enabling future innovations such as IoT-driven care, carbon accounting, and AI-based predictive maintenance.
